What's Actually Happening in AI

I built an autonomous AI media company that runs 24/7 on a $23 server.
Three newsletters. Daily YouTube Shorts. Weekly long-form video. Zero manual publishing.
This is what I'm learning — and how I built it.

In early 2026, I started an experiment: could one person, working nights and weekends from Bengaluru, build a fully autonomous media operation using AI?

Not "use ChatGPT to write a blog post." Actually autonomous — a system that hunts for stories across 15+ sources, filters noise through vector deduplication, synthesizes research, writes 900-word newsletter drafts in two distinct brand voices, fact-checks its own output, generates YouTube scripts, creates voiceovers, assembles video from stock footage, uploads to YouTube, auto-posts to LinkedIn with branded image cards — and does all of this every single day without a human touching the keyboard.

The answer is yes. The system runs on a single VPS that costs ₹1,900/month (~$23). It publishes 6 newsletter issues per week, daily YouTube Shorts, and weekly long-form videos. I review every draft before it ships. That's my only manual step.

This site is the proof. The newsletters are the output. The Long Game is where I write about what I'm learning — not just about AI tools, but about what happens when AI stops being a tool and starts being an operator.

I'm nowhere near done.

MODEL REALITY

Each one targets a different reader. All three run on the same $23 infrastructure.

One server. Three newsletters. No manual work.

Every issue of Overfitted, Actually Useful, and The Long Game is written, fact-checked, and published autonomously. I review drafts on Telegram. That's my only job.

The Builder

Aseem
Rajvanshi

I'm Aseem Rajvanshi — an AI researcher at Infosys and the builder behind Overfitted.

I built this because I wanted to know if a single person could run a real media operation using AI — not as a demo, not as a hackathon project, but as a live system that ships content every day without me babysitting it.

The answer is yes. Three newsletters. Daily YouTube Shorts. A weekly long-form video. A Sunday deep-dive essay. All running autonomously on a single VPS that costs less than a dinner out.

I publish everything I learn about how this works — the architecture, the failures, the economics, and what it means for anyone whose work involves creating or distributing ideas.

If you want to follow along: read Overfitted for skeptical AI analysis, Actually Useful for practical tools, or The Long Game for the bigger picture.

Fully Autonomous

One person. One $23 server. Three AI newsletters. A YouTube channel. Five autonomous agents. Zero manual writing.

Every issue you read was written by AI, reviewed by a human (me — Aseem), and published without a team, editor, or content calendar. The system runs 24/7 from a VPS. I built it nights and weekends from Bengaluru.

The Long Game is where I write about what I'm learning — the hard parts, the surprising parts, and what comes next.

I'm nowhere near done.

AI made simple,
applied everywhere.
