What this site collects

overfitted.tech itself does not run any analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and it does not use tracking cookies. We checked the site's source and the live pages directly to confirm this; see the Cookie Policy for what we actually found. The site does not have its own sign-up form, comment system, or account system, so we don't directly collect names, emails, or payment details through overfitted.tech.

Newsletter subscriptions (Substack)

Subscribing to the Overfitted newsletter happens entirely on Substack's own site (overfittedtech.substack.com). Substack collects and processes your email address and any other data you give it, under its own privacy policy, not ours: substack.com/privacy.

Payments (Gumroad and Dodo)

Digital product purchases happen on Gumroad or Dodo's own checkout pages. We link out to them, we don't process payments or store card details ourselves. Each handles your payment and order data under its own policy:

Your rights

Since we don't hold a database of your personal data ourselves, most requests (access, correction, deletion, opt-out) need to go to whichever service actually holds it: Substack for your subscription, Gumroad or Dodo for a purchase. If you're not sure who holds what, email us and we'll point you in the right direction.

If you're in India, this is written with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) as the primary framework. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, GDPR principles (right to access, rectify, erase, and object) apply to the extent the underlying service (Substack, Gumroad, Dodo) processes your data. Again, that's enforced at their level, not ours, since we don't hold the data. If you're in California, the same applies for CCPA opt-out-of-sale/share rights: we don't sell or share personal data, and have none of our own to sell.

If what this site collects changes (for example, if we add analytics or our own sign-up form in future), we'll update this page and the date above.
